GENERAL

Q: How do I get to The Farmyard?

We’re located just outside of Saint Jo, Texas. Full directions and parking instructions are included in your confirmation email.

Q: Can I bring my dog?

We love animals, but due to the nature of the farm and livestock, we kindly ask that pets stay home unless previously approved.

Q: What if it rains?

We do have indoor space available (The Farmhouse), but reschedules or adjustments may be offered depending on your booking type. We’ll work with you!

PHOTOGRAPHY

Q: Can I book a session at The Farmyard with my own photographer?

Yes! We offer rentals for guests bringing their own photographer. Visit the “Book a Session” page to reserve your spot.

Q: What if I don’t have a photographer?

We offer in-house sessions through our Farmyard Photographers. Learn more on our “Meet the Photographers” page.

Q: Can I bring props or move things around?

Absolutely. AND You’re welcome to restyle and use our props. Most are in the cedar check or the farmhouse closet (ignore the mess—it’s on our list!).

SMALL GATHERINGS + EVENTS

Q: What types of events can be held at The Farmyard?

We host baby showers, elopements, workshops, styled shoots, pop-ups, dinners, and more.

Q: How many guests can I invite?

We specialize in small-scale gatherings. Check your rental listing or message us for details.

Q: Can I decorate or rearrange furniture?

Yes! You’re free to decorate and rearrange during your rental. Just return things how you found them.

VISITS + FARM DAYS

Q: Can I just come out and enjoy the farm without booking a session?

Yes! We offer Visit Passes for individuals, families, and small groups.

Homeschool families and farm-folk-at-heart are always welcome. Check the Visit the Farmyard section to learn more.

Q: Do I need to schedule my visit ahead of time?

Yes. All visits must be scheduled in advance—even simple ones—so we can prepare the space and ensure a smooth experience.

Q: Will we see animals during our visit?

Yes, most days! While this isn’t a petting zoo, we do have animals around the property that guests can usually see and sometimes interact with (from a respectful distance).

SHOP + PICKUP

Q: Can I pick up my order at The Farmyard?

Sure can! Local pickup is self-serve and available during daylight hours. Your order will be labeled in the Farmstand bin. Just swing by within 3 days of ordering and bag it yourself.

Q: Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns. However, if something arrives damaged, we’ll happily replace it. Just reach out within 7 days of receiving your order.

Q: Do you sell in-person at the Farmstand?

Seasonally, yes! Follow us on Instagram to see when the Farmstand is stocked and open for walk-up shopping.
